Jakarta, IDN Times - Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) kembali mengeluarkan daftar sirop yang aman karena tidak mengandung cemaran Etilen glikol (EG)/Dietilen glikol (DEG).
Melalui pengumuman Nomor HM.01.1.2.12.22.184 pada 1 Desember 2022, BPOM masih terus berproses menelusuri dan menindaklanjuti kejadian cemaran EG/DEG pada sirop obat sebagai upaya perlindungan kesehatan masyarakat dan perbaikan sistem jaminan keamanan dan mutu obat di Indonesia.
"Hasil verifikasi periode 18 sampai 29 November 2022, terdapat 46 produk sirop obat yang telah memenuhi ketentuan. Dengan demikian, BPOM menyatakan 172 produk sirop obat telah memenuhi ketentuan, sehingga direkomendasikan untuk dapat diedar," tulis BPOM dalam keterangan tertulis, Jumat (2/12/2022).

Namun, larangan masih berlaku untuk obat yang belum dinyatakan aman oleh BPOM.
"Obat-obatan yang aman yang sudah diumumkan (BPOM) boleh digunakan lagi, sedangkan larangan sementara tetap berlaku untuk obat sirop selain yang diumumkan BPOM," ujar Syahril.
3. Obat yang diresepkan tidak mengandung pelarut

Direktur Jenderal Pelayanan Kesehatan No. SR.01.05/III/3461/2022 tanggal 18 Oktober 2022, tentang Petunjuk Penggunaan Obat Sediaan Cair/Sirup pada Anak dalam rangka Pencegahan Peningkatan Kasus Gangguan Ginjal Akut Progresif Atipikal (GGAPA)/(Atypical Progressive Acute Kidney Injury).
"Obat yang sudah boleh diresepkan itu dipastikan tidak menggunakan Propilen Glikol, Polietilen Glikol, Sorbitol, dan/atau Gliserin/Gliserol, dan aman sepanjang digunakan sesuai aturan pakai," kata Syahril.
