Bisa dibilang, "No Place Like Home" merupakan lagu yang tak kalah penting bagi Elphaba untuk meluapkan perasaannya. Lewat lagu itu, Elphaba mempertanyakan mengapa ia harus mencintai Oz, padahal tempat tersebut tidak pernah mencintainya.
Frasa 'No Place Like Home' pun seolah menjadi ungkapan jujur dari Elphaba bahwa ia tetap menganggap Oz seperti rumahnya sendiri dan bahkan tidak ada yang bisa menggantikan. Selain itu, lagu ini juga menjadi slogan dari Elphaba agar hewan-hewan Oz harus tetap bertahan dan tidak meninggalkan tanah mereka sendiri.
"No Place Like Home" merupakan salah satu dari dua lagu baru yang ditulis Stephen Schwartz untuk film Wicked: For Good. Adapun lagu baru lainnya berjudul "The Girl in the Bubble" yang dinyanyikan Ariana Grande.
