Pola tidur yang buruk dapat mengganggu siklus menstruasi. Terlebih lagi, kualitas tidur bisa menjadi lebih buruk bagi individu yang mengalami gejala pramenstruasi.
Sebuah studi menganalisis data dari 579 peserta mengenai siklus menstruasi mereka dan bagaimana keteraturan berhubungan dengan durasi, kualitas, dan kelelahan tidur. Para peneliti menemukan bahwa pendarahan yang lebih banyak dan menstruasi yang tidak teratur berhubungan dengan:
Menstruasi mungkin tertunda beberapa hari, tetapi bukan berarti menstruasi tidak teratur. Namun, banyak hal yang bisa menjadi penyebab telat haid, seperti PCOS, menyusui, masalah berat badan, perubahan hormon, dan lain-lain.
Dalam beberapa kasus, melakukan perubahan gaya hidup bisa membantu. Namun, jika telat haid terjadi terus-menerus, sebaiknya segera berkonsultasi dengan dokter.
