2. Latar belakang Choi Bul Am

Choi Bul Am lahir di Incheon, tepatnya Geumgok-dong, Dong-gu pada tahun 1940. Ia adalah anak tunggal dari pasangan pebisnis dan putri apoteker Kekaisaran Korea.

Aktor bermarga Klan Choi Haeju ini pindah ke Seoul saat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Ia mulai menyukai dunia akting dan mengikuti klub teater di SMA Jungang. Choi Bul Am tercatat sebagai mahasiswa Universitas Chung-Ang sejak di tahun 1960. 

3. Perjalanan karier Choi Bul Am

Sebelum lulus kuliah, Choi Bul Am sudah membintangi sejumlah film layar lebar Korea. Film debutnya berjudul Light and Shadow (1967) dan drama Frog Husband (1969).

Chief Inspector (1971) adalah drama yang membesarkan nama Choi Bul Am. Berkat karakter Park Yeong Han yang ia perankan selama 880 episode, Choi Bul Am dikenal dengan nama panggung Choi Yeong Han.

Aktor senior ini terakhir membintangi drama Goodbye to Goodbye (2018). Sedangkan di drama Chief Detective 1958 (2024), Choi Bul Am hanya didapuk sebagai cameo.
