Lagu "Fraktsiya" awalnya direncanakan bakal menjadi pembuka sebelum Mark resmi merilis album solonya di 2025 nanti. Pada single terbarunya kali ini, idol KPop asal Kanada tersebut menggandeng rapper pemenang High School Rapper 3, Lee Young Ji.

Liriknya menggambarkan paralelisme di antara Mark dan Lee Young Ji, yang dinamis dalam menggabungkan genre musik K-Pop dan hip-hop menyamakan peran mereka dengan istilah 'Fraktsiya' dalam bahasa Rusia yang berarti fraksi atau suatu kelompok.

Lewat lagu "Fraktsiya", Mark dan Lee Young Ji menjelaskan posisi mereka di industri musik. Bahkan, pemilik nama asli Lee Min Hyung ini juga mengungkapkan keluh kesahnya tentang jadwalnya yang padat hingga tidak memiliki waktu istirahat.

“Saya mulai mengerjakan lagu ini dengan pemikiran untuk melihat kembali posisi saya di K-pop dan hidup dalam berbagai cara,” tutur Mark dilansir OSEN.

"Fraktsiya" sendiri adalah lagu hip-hop yang dicirikan oleh progresi akord dari musik house, bassline 808 yang berat, sampai suara synthesizer yang repetitif. Dengan menonjolkan rap Mark yang tajam dan aspek-aspek seninya yang jarang ditunjukkan kepada penggemar.

Berbeda dari rilisannya sebelumnya, kali ini idol KPop kelahiran 1999 tersebut memutuskan untuk menggandeng Lee Young Ji sebagai rekan duet. Kolaborasi dirinya dan rapper cewek tersebut dinilai akan menghasilkan chemistry yang unik dan berbeda lewat lagu ini.

"Saya pikir Lee Young Ji dan saya akan memiliki chemistry yang unik, jadi saya sangat ingin melakukan sesuatu bersamanya, dan dengan ‘Fraktsiya’, saya menegaskan bahwa itu tidak salah. Sekali lagi terima kasih kepada Lee Young Ji," tutur leader NCT DREAM itu.
