Shine yang memulai episode perdananya pada 2 Agustus 2025 telah hampir mencapai akhir. Serial ini berhasil mencuri perhatian berkat alur ceritanya yang menarik karena membahas gejolak politik Thailand pada tahun 60-an. Shine juga mengambil latar tahun yang sama dengan misi luar angkasa Apollo 11 yang mendaratkan manusia pertama di bulan.

Selain “Far Side the Moon” Slot Machine juga menyanyikan lagu soundtrack Shine yang berjudul “Am I in Love”. Lagu ini menampilkan sisi yang berbeda dari Slot Machine yakni lebih santai, klasik, dan penuh ketebukaan emosi. Penampilannya yang sederhana menghadirkan kehangatan, kerentanan sekaligus pandangan langka terhadap palet musik lembut, namun tetap membawa ciri khas Slot Machine yang tidak terbantahkan. “Am I in Love” menggambarkan saat momen awal jatuh cinya yang selalu ada euforia kegembiraan sekaligus kecemasan karena keraguan.

3. Aey Kuljira – Half of Everything
Aey Kuljira dikenal sebagai penyanyi pro-demokrasi yang vokal membicarakan tentang politik Thailand dan ikut berjuang di jalanan bersama demonstran. Mempunyai suara yang khas dan deep, ia dipercaya untuk menyanyikan soundtrack Shine yang berjudul “Half of Everything”. Lagu ini menyampaikan refleksi tentang keterbatasan pandangan manusia dalam melihat orang lain, cinta, dan kenyataan hidup. Manusia cenderung melihat dunia hanya melalui sudut pandang yang mereka pilih, mendengar apa yang ingin mereka dengar, dan memahami sebatas apa yang pernah mereka alami. Di lagu ini kisah cinta tidak diperlukan sesuatu yang megah, cukup dengan kebersamaan melalui kesederhanaan yang bermakna. Seniman berbakat keturunan Thailand-Amerika, Montonn Jira tidak hanya menjadi komposer untuk musik serial Shine. Ia juga ikut mengisi soundtrack yang berjudul “Love Shines”. Melalui lirik yang penuh metafora, “Love Shines” menggambarkan perjalanan cinta yang penuh ketidakpastian, namun dipenuhi harapan dan keyakinan. “Gone Days” yang diciptakan dan dinyanyikan oleh musisi muda berbakat FrenchW adalah lagu pop yang dipenuhi nuansa nostalgia tahun 1960-an. Lagu ini berhasil membangkitkan kenangan dan momen di masa lalu. “Gone Days” membawa pendengar dalam perjalanan emosional melalui ingatan tentang cinta dan hari-hari yang telah berlalu dengan pergantian musim sebagai metafora tentang perubahan. “ในห้วงรัก (In the Depths of Love)” menjadi satu-satunya lagu berbahasa Thailand yang menjadi soundtrack serial Shine. Lagu ini dinyanyikan dengan penuh karismatik oleh band THE KEYLOOKZ. Lirik di lagu ini menggunakan metafora lubang untuk menggambarkan jatuh cinta yang mendalam. Cinta digambarkan seperti sebuah ruang kosong yang bisa membuat seseorang terbang tinggi oleh kebahagiaan atau justru terhempas ke tanah hingga hancur. Namun dengan segala risikonya, manusia tetap memilih mencintai dengan kepasrahan yang mengantarkan kebahagiaan sejati.

Aktor utama serial Shine, Mile Phakphum juga ikut berkontribusi mengisi soundtrack. Secara musikal, lagu ini membawa esensi nostalgia balada tahun 1960-an yang dipadukan dengan kehangatan gitar akustik. “Dawn” menyampaikan emosi tentang rasa sakit, perjuangan, dan harapan yang dialami oleh beberapa karakter di serial Shine.
