Lagu “Happiest” menggambarkan seseorang yang mempertanyakan arti kebahagiaan dalam hidupnya. Ia menyadari bahwa mengikuti kesenangan yang dianggap ideal oleh banyak orang tidak selalu membuat seseorang benar-benar bahagia. Karena itu, ia tidak ingin terus berpura-pura menikmati hal-hal yang sebenarnya tidak memberikan kepuasan batin.
Melalui lagu ini, Mark juga menyampaikan keyakinan bahwa masih ada sesuatu yang lebih bermakna dalam hidup daripada sekadar kesenangan sesaat. Meski belum sepenuhnya mengetahui apa yang dicari, ia percaya bahwa kebahagiaan sejati bisa ditemukan dengan mendengarkan suara hati dan memahami kebutuhan dirinya sendiri.
Setelah merilis single "Happiest", Mark akan bersiap meluncurkan album solo, lho. Album bertajuk WINDMILL tersebut akan menjadi studio album perdananya setelah keluar dari NCT dan SM Entertainment.
