"ALIVE" digubah di atas aransemen electronic synth-pop dengan sentuhan retro. Lagu utama ini menceritakan ketulusan yang mampu membuat seseorang kembali menemukan arah hidup dan keberanian untuk melangkah maju.

Di bagian awal, liriknya menggambarkan fase tergelap ketika tokoh utama merasa hampa. Namun, pertemuannya dengan seseorang perlahan mengubah keadaan jadi lebih baik. Sosok tersebut seolah membawa cahaya untuk melengkapi serta mendorongnya keluar dari keterpurukan.

Luka terpendam maupun keraguan yang selama ini ia rasakan pun bertransformasi menjadi rasa percaya diri. Melalui lagu ini, hrtz.wav juga menyelipkan pesan yang mengajak para pendengarnya menghadapi berbagai rintangan bersama-sama.

Comeback perdana hrtz.wav menjadi kabar gembira, baik untuk hrtz.on (nama fandom hrtz.wav) maupun BRIIZE (nama fandom RIIZE). Pasalnya, Youngjun dan kawan-kawan memperkuat dimensi lagu utama "ALIVE" dengan melakukan kolaborasi bersama Sungchan RIIZE.

Sebelum debut, Riaan juga pernah menjalani masa pelatihan di bawah naungan SM Entertainment. Karena sempat berada di lingkungan yang sama, vokalis hrtz.wav tersebut menilai tone suara dan energi khas yang dimiliki Sungchan akan sangat cocok jika dipadukan dengan karakter musik mereka.

Tak kalah spesial, seluruh member hrtz.wav aktif berpartisipasi sebagai penulis lirik untuk keenam track, termasuk lagu B-side "Play My Guitar," "Sunday Morning," "Thinkin' Bout You," serta "First Daylight". Sedangkan untuk lagu pembuka "Mind," Riaan dan Dane terlibat menangani komposisi serta aransemen oleh Dane.
