The Lion and the Mouse
Once upon a time, a lion was sleeping in the forest. A little mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the lion’s nose. Roused from his nap, the lion caught the mouse with his huge paw and was about to eat her. The poor mouse begged him, "Please let me go and I will repay you someday." The lion was so amused to think that a little mouse could help him. But he was generous and finally let the mouse go.
Some days later, while stalking his prey in the forest, the lion was caught in the net of some hunters. Unable to free himself, he began to roar in anger. The mouse heard the lion's cries and quickly gnawed through the ropes of the net to set him free. The lion was so grateful to the mouse for saving his life.
