Lamongan, IDN Times - The Bali Bombings had undoubtedly left an imprint in all Indonesians’ memory. There were 202 people died in the tragedy of the Bali Bombing that happened on 12 October 2002. 3 years later, Bali Bombing Tragedy II also killed 23 people from Indonesia and some other foreign countries.

Ali Fauzi--the sibling of the accused ones, namely Ali Imron, Ali Ghufron, and Amrozi--was also an ex-terrorist. While Ali Ghufron and Amrozi were sentenced to death and Ali Imron had to undergo life imprisonment, Ali Fauzi has a different fate. He is now the Director of Yayasan Lingkar Perdamaian in his hometown, Tenggulun, Lamongan Regency.

He stated that he currently focused on fostering ex-convicts of terrorism and ex-combatants from his neighborhood. One of the examples was when he led 20 participants on a bicycle tour (gowes) in Lamongan on Saturday (1/26/2019).

1. Gowes with Combatants was the result of his cooperation with the Lamongan Regional Police
