Retak kecil menjadi tempat bernapas
Akar belajar menyelinap pelan
Tidak tinggi dan terlihat lemah
Hanya cukup untuk tetap hidup

Tanah ini terus menolak hadirnya akar
Permukaannya dingin tidak ramah
Setiap dorongan terasa berbalik
Namun aku tetap mencari celah
Air datang tidak pernah cukup
Matahari sering terlambat bersinar
Hari-hari mengajariku menunggu
Tanpa janji ataupun kepastian
Aku tumbuh meski lambat
Bukan karena tanahnya mulai berubah
Melainkan kehendak menolak mati
Di kerasnya tempat berpijak
