Untuk pemula yang ingin progresnya mudah diukur, assisted machine memiliki keuntungan praktis karena jumlah bantuan lebih mudah diatur dan dikurangi secara bertahap.
Resistance band lebih sederhana dan mudah digunakan di mana saja, tetapi bantuannya bersifat variabel: makin teregang band, makin besar gaya bantuannya. Itu membuat progres antarsesi sedikit lebih sulit diukur secara presisi.
Apa pun pilihannya, gunakan bantuan secukupnya untuk melakukan pull-up dengan teknik dan rentang gerak yang baik, lalu kurangi bantuan secara bertahap ketika tubuh makin kuat.
