Meski puasa relatif aman bagi orang sehat, tidak semua orang dengan masalah ginjal dapat menjalani puasa Ramadan.
Pasien dengan penyakit ginjal kronis stadium lanjut, gangguan elektrolit berat, atau mereka yang membutuhkan obat tertentu secara teratur sebaiknya berkonsultasi dengan dokter sebelum berpuasa.
Pengawasan medis penting untuk memastikan bahwa puasa tidak memperburuk kondisi kesehatan yang sudah ada.
Puasa dapat membantu mengontrol tekanan darah, mengurangi peradangan, memperbaiki metabolisme, serta mendukung pengelolaan berat badan—semua faktor penting kesehatan ginjal.
Namun, manfaat tersebut tidak berarti puasa cocok untuk semua orang. Individu dengan kondisi kesehatan tertentu, terutama penyakit ginjal yang sudah lanjut, perlu berkonsultasi dengan dokter sebelum berpuasa. Dengan pendekatan yang tepat, puasa dapat menjadi bagian dari gaya hidup yang mendukung kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan.
