Penelitian menunjukkan konsumsi minuman berpemanis secara rutin berkaitan dengan peningkatan risiko penyakit ginjal kronis. Risiko itu kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh efek minuman manis terhadap obesitas, diabetes tipe 2, tekanan darah, dan peradangan.
Minuman energi tinggi gula, soda, teh manis berlebihan, dan berbagai minuman ultraproses sebaiknya tidak menjadi pilihan utama untuk memulai harimu.
Ginjal bekerja tanpa henti setiap hari. Cara menjaganya sederhana, yaitu cukup minum air, menjaga pola makan, mengontrol tekanan darah, mengelola gula darah, dan memilih minuman yang mendukung kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan.
